Where it all began
Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, we were founded in 1996 when the Travelex Group purchased the Mutual of Omaha travel insurance companies. Shortly after, we established ourselves as one of the top three travel insurance providers in the United States.
A new opportunity
In 2016, we grew our global footprint by becoming a part of Cover-More Group, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group. Cover-More Group's operations cover more than 15 countries across five continents, with leading positions in Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Ireland, and New Zealand — and in the U.S. thanks to our Travelex team. Cover-More Group offers world-class emergency medical assistance and travel security support through its 24/7 command centres in Australia, Argentina, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Cover-More Travel Insurance is also Australia’s largest travel insurance, medical assistance, and employee assistance provider.
