Want the flexibility of canceling your trip for whatever reason? Whether it’s because you simply don’t want to go any more or life just gets in the way, this upgrade can help. It lets you cancel your trip for any reason up to 48 hours before you depart and have reimbursement of up to 75% of your insured trip costs (up to $7,500).

Rental car damage upgrade
Going on a road trip or renting a car on your next vacation? Get up to $50,000 coverage (with a $100 deductible) for rental car collisions, vandalism, weather damage, and more with this upgrade — so you can take to the road confidently.

Don’t want to lie on a beach all day while on vacation? If you like to try new activities or raise your heart rate while traveling, this upgrade could be for you. It gives you coverage for adventure sports that aren’t already included in your base plan, such as snow skiing, skydiving, or hang gliding.

Accidental death for air travel upgrade
Most flights take off and land smoothly, but if you want to protect yourself against loss of life during your flight, this upgrade lets you add either $200,000, $500,000, or $1,000,000 of coverage to your policy.

Pet care upgrade
Do you have pets? If you’re traveling with your dog(s) or cat(s) and they get sick or injured on your trip, this upgrade gives you up to $2,500 coverage for unexpected pet veterinarian expenses. This means you can get them the help they need wherever you are, knowing we’re here to help pay back the bills.
Even if your furry friends aren’t lucky enough to be joining you on your trip, this benefit can still help them. If you’re delayed on your return home because of an eligible reason, this upgrade provides up to $250 coverage to reimburse up to three days of additional pet boarding costs. This means you can keep them in a safe place while you focus on getting home safely.

Good to know: This upgrade isn’t available to New York residents, and the pet veterinarian expense benefit isn’t available to Virginia residents.
Security deposit upgrade
Renting a property instead of staying in a hotel on your upcoming vacation? Lots of vacation rentals ask you to provide a security deposit to help cover the cost of any mishaps that happen during your stay. With this upgrade, you’ll get up to $2,000 coverage for your vacation rental security deposit payment if you accidentally damage the property.

Think work commitments might get in the way of your trip? You can protect up to 100% of your trip cost (maximum of $10,000) with this upgrade. It lets you cancel your trip for several work-related scenarios, which can help soften the financial blow if you can no longer go on your trip as planned.
